How do I know which colour temperature I require?

TL and PL tubes, discharge lamps are usually indicated by these numbers  827/830/840/865.  The 8 stands for the colour rendering of the lamp, or also 80Ra. This is standard. If the colour appears to be very good, then it is usually a Ra. This is mostly used in printing areas and hospitals.
The last two digits (827/830/840/865) represent the number of Kelvin:
= 2700K = very warm white (living room)
 = 3000K = Warm White (office area)
 = 4200K = Cool white (warehouses)
 = 6500K = Daylight (factories)

How do I choose the right fluorescencent Lamp?

The wattage of all fluorescent lamps is connected to the length of the tube.
The higher the wattage of the tube, the longer its durability. If you have a 36W, you cannot replace it with a 18W bulb. This is in fact less than 36W.

How do I choose the right PL lamp?

Just as with fluorescent lamps, the wattage of PL lamps is the same as what you are currently using.
The wattage of the PL-C and PL-T are connected to various lamp bases. It is therefore not possible for the PL-C and PL-T lamps to change from wattage.
The PL-S/L/H and R have the same lamp base, however, the ballast is specially adjusted to the wattage you have. Even with these types it is not possible to replace PL lamp 10W for a PL lamp 26W, unless your ballast is adjusted to a PL lamp, which is suitable for 26W.

How do I find the correct ballast?

Eventhough we are trying to provide as much as information possible about choosing the right ballast it remains a very complicated issue. Fortunately, we have a large database with lamp ballast combination tables. Please feel free to contact us for the most suitable gear.
